Bargello

The Bargello, also known as the Bargello Palace or Palazzo del Popolo (Palace of the People), was a former barracks and prison during the government of the Duke Cosimo I de' Medici, in the XVI century; now it is a famous art museum.
Inside are found many marvellous works of art like Donatello's David, and other masterpieces by Jacopo Sansovino, Giambologna, Verrocchio, Andrea della Robbia and Benvenuto Cellini.
